Description and Lore:
Light, nimble, sleek, quick, and silent when needed. These were the standards for any saber issued to the Circle's elite stealth operatives. Unfortunately, a saber to fit their demands didn't exist, so a completely new class of saber had to be created to meet these specifications. The result was the Spirit-class of sabers.
It was The Circle's original design requirements that gave birth to the Spirit-class; a saber type that the galaxy had never before seen. A saber platform that featured a slender body, sturdy blade and smooth overall profile with 50% less weight than a Crusader-class while still able to withstand saber-to-saber combat. Not all stealth missions remain hidden the entire time, so when it's time to lock blades, the Banshee holds its own.
Lightweight, nimble, sleek, and definitely quick, the Spirit-class checks all the right boxes, but as a Stealth Combat oriented saber, it can also go silent when needed. Through a series of presses of the activation switch, the Banshee, and all Spirit-class sabers, can become completely silent. And when stealth is no longer the main concern, the Banshee's energetic soundtrack will resonate like its namesake.
The Circle chose the Banshee variant for their stealth operatives. They felt it was more fitting to their order. The Banshee is full featured and ready for combat. It features an "S" style slanted emitter with machined grooves in the hilt giving you magnificent grip on this elegant weapon.
With the signing of the armistice, peace now reigns throughout the galaxy, but Banshee sabers, like all sabers intended for stealth combat, are still highly regulated.
